I didn't go to a lot of concerts (always hated crowds), but I fondly recall seeing ELP live in concert back in their heyday... a long time ago. Very talented and versatile musicians!

I saw them perform "Pictures at an Exposition" which as been one of my favorite classical works since childhood. Backed by an orchestra on tiers, the program was splendid.

Tarkus has always been one of my favorite albums. I had it on 8-track in my first car and just about wore it out.
ELP was like the intricacy of Yes with the intensity of Vanilla Fudge.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 10-10-2020).]

Tarkus was my first, and only ELP for a very long time, and still one of their best, AFAIC. As I said, I've recently gained a new appreciation. I also like Greg Lake's work with King Crimson (who just keep evolving and are still doing stuff.) And Carl Palmer's earlier stuff with Atomic Rooster and Arthur Brown.
