Come on, do i really have to do this again? Tiling your bathroom? Drop yer' caulks n' grab yer' glocks!
These guys really made rock. Think about it; Page, Plant, Clapton. And what they went on to be...incredible!
For Eddie. Peace Bro.
* I won't accept any other answer except Jerry Lee Lewis...but these guys really changed the way everybody after them played music...

I guess it's Jimmy Page in the purple pants... but he looked to me like Ritchie Blackmore, from... Deep Purple of course.
But yeah, the Yardbirds were a great band. I always loved the sound of the guitar in this song. Very different! (Ignore the advertising in this video, but it was the best audio/video quality version of this song.)

All of that actually started with Alexis Korner.

I looked Alexis Korner up on Wikipedia. Very interesting career, but geez, longevity was not a family trait!
| quote | From Here:
In 1950, Korner married Roberta Melville, daughter of art critic Robert Melville.[15] Korner died of lung cancer aged 55 years, on 1 January 1984.[4] He was survived by a daughter, singer Sappho Gillett Korner (died 2006) and two sons, guitarist Nicholas 'Nico' Korner (died 1988) and sound engineer Damian Korner (died 2008).

The English, they clearly annunciate English words (without an accent) when singing, so traditional American diction must be correct, eh?

The guy with the red ES-345 still plays that same guitar to this very day. The guy with the Tele was just sitting in that day. He was there as part of Bob Dylan's band, though he did join Butterfield later that year.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 10-07-2020).]
