Lower intelligence people have less ability to delay pleasure so this fits that drugs tend to give immediate pleasure. This is not about all of one group and none of another. But clusters of peoples and their ability to make a calculated choice. I have watched plenty of white people go down that ugly road of life ruining drug abuse. Opportunity to access the drugs in the first place is just bad for humans. That is the logic behind the laws but, that just puts people in jail because people will always want quick pleasure. The lesser intelligent will have trouble saying "no, not today". It is why I am pro religion, the weak need some other power to control their behavior.

I will suggest that some are looking at the problem from the wrong perspective. There is no reason that low income should cause drug abuse. It is much more likely that drug abuse would cause low income.
The question of crime in some communities is a result of culture, irrespective of race.[This message has been edited by williegoat (edited 04-19-2019).]
