I don't know. Those of us that grew up on Government Cheese would pay handsomely for more of that stuff. It was good stuff.

We get calls from people offering to sell food stamps at around half price all the time. We don't partake, but they still ask, because hey, we may change our minds someday. Other people in the family buy them, and since we're all related around here nobody wants to cut us out.

We live in a county where 80% of the people are related to each other. The people who work at the Social Security office are related to the Sheriff, who is also related to the people we would call in and report.. It took me decades to get away from the last time I reported someone in this county because I didn't understand how a crooked system really worked.

Suppose I call in Bob Smith for offering to sell me foodstamps and Bob gets in trouble. Do you think that with everyone in the system being related to Bob, that Bob isn't going to find out who reported him? Do you think his six Meth addicted kids aren't going to go after the guy that took away their $50 dollar windfall every month?

What is the real answer? If I make a phone call I may as well hold a gun to my head and pull the trigger.

Also. Let's pretend that the system would work, and all the criminals in my area are suddenly no longer receiving their foodstamps, and can't trade them for about $50 a month... Now they can't get their meth, or their booze.. Whatever addictive thing they are trading it for, where are they going to get the funds for this now? Crime is already high around here, even with low unemployment. The people who weren't getting foodstamps for illicit purposes are suddenly going to start paying a lot more than they were in taxes (taxes that didn't drop when people stopped getting foodstamps.) to replace things that are being stolen from them.

I'm not saying that any of this is right, but it's how it is. There is no silver bullet that I can see. Law and order isn't working in this area, at least as it is. The system is very corrupt.

Have been asked if I was interested. Know a woman who tells me all about it and yes, I have reported it. Nothing, NADA happened.

My, what a quaint idea. It got me to thinking. We can also enforce existing immigration laws, and existing gun laws.

Hmm. Arn't some of those illgal food stamp receivers dope dealers who have guns ?

Lack of consequences is how we got in this mess.

I think here you have to have a photo ID to use food stamps in a store...so your not trading or selling them to anyone. This is the same as street beggars wanting money but refuse you giving them a meal. Dont believe that, next time you see someone asking for money on the street offer them a burger and drink and watch them throw it away or cuss you out.

Liberals DONT want to do anything the administration wants to do, just like theyre not interested in anything to do with DACA people except using them for campaign pawns. Trump has offered to allow DACA people to get citizenship multiple times but they refuse.

Last street light beggar I saw, standing with a cardboard sign, as I pulled away I saw in my mirror as he pulled out a cell phone to text.

Once, I saw a street light beggar that I actually gave money to. $10.00.
His sign said ...

I am not going to lie to you. I need a beer.

He was well dressed, clean, and looked respectable.

Another time, I saw a local news report (when I lived in Houston) in which a man in a suit and tie had a sign which said ...

I need a job. Take my resume'.

The follow up story/interview reported his instant success at getting a good job.
