They aren't usually stealing drugs. They're stealing money to buy drugs. Or stealing other people's 'stuff' to sell for money to buy drugs.

Yes but those are also crimes and have not been reduced. This is only going to change for the people that have a small amount of the drugs on them. If there are other crimes committed at the same time then they should face the consequences for those actions.
I would rather people not do drugs that hook them and ruin their lives but the solution is not to put them in jail over a laps in judgment. Perhaps it will be enough of a wake up and they will get help. Too many people I know are dealing with the fall out from drug use and could have used a helping hand instead of being locked up out of site.

You have the freedom to un-indoctrinate yourself and educate yourself.
Ask yourself why on top of everything else the left is doing and allowing, Biden and others like him want law abiding American citizens disarmed.
Then go check out my thread on the 2nd Amendment.
. .
This is good too.

The Senate will also go Blue.
President Trump will claim it’s a fraudulent result, but other Republicans will distance themselves from Trump (we’ve already started seeing a bit of this), and by the end of his term, Republicans will all but have moved on from this weird point in history.
Long term, Democrats will bring in more radical young progressives like AOC, and the Republicans will want to be seen as a steady consistent staple.
Just a couple days left! I don’t think Trump will concede for awhile, though. |

I’m not too far off. Missed Florida and the Senate, and never would have guessed GA would be close to purple (I figured solid red). But Biden is currently up ~4M on popular vote, and plenty more “settled” states have yet to finish counting, and the rust belts came back blue (outside of OH).
I didn’t anticipate much civil unrest, but the Trumpians are surprising me yet again. I don’t quite understand the current protests, though I can definitely see how it looks as everything creeps blue. I think anyone should be able to understand that Trump actively spoke out against mail-in voting, and democrats consistently take COVID safety more seriously, so mail-in votes will be hyper-indexed blue.
I’m extremely surprised by just how close this is in so many states. GA might come down to literally hundreds of votes. Nuts!

You're talking about the crime of "stealing" (theft). But who cares how someone "get's there"?
"I need drugs", "My mom didn't love me", "I'm lactose intolerant", "My penis is too small" (my favorite). Action-is-action.
Who cares why people choose to do what they do? It may be clinically interesting, but as an excuse it holds zero-water.
Drugs, pussy, fame, fortune. How you decide to act is how you act. Excuses are like azzholes.

Republicans picked up 5 House seats and maintain a majority in the Senate. (That may or may not change depending on GA's runoff election.) I'm not unhappy. Hopefully Speaker Pelosi will be replaced.
The Dems talked about COVID 19 like they gave a damn but, sure as hell didn't compromise to get any help out to hurting Americans. I didn't have much confidence President Trump would win the popular vote, there's just too many Trump Haters out there. I can relate though. I'm not a DJT fan but, I still think he did a great job while being bombarded with claims and the attempt to impeach. Honestly, IMHO, Candidate Trump only got elected because of who he ran against. HRC is the reason DJT got elected.
The Dems have sown seeds that will come to haunt them in a few years unless they produce for all Americans. Their problem is, not all Americans agree with their agenda. About half the US thinks a person ought to actually have to earn an income, not get it handed to them by a "Socialist" government.
I'm still a registered Democrat (but you wouldn't know it if you saw my ballot), I didn't leave them, they left me.

Question: Come on, do you really think Obama got a fair-shake?

Even more vague than declaring everyone gun toting racists.
I searched and found this, not sure what it has to do with anything. I've never watched.
"Rupert is an animated television series based on the Mary Tourtel character Rupert Bear, which aired from 1991 to 1997 with 65 half-hour episodes produced."

Actually, I do. The Republicans played by the rules, some of which were written by the Dem majority of the past. President Obama asked for and pushed radical change. Large ships and nations don't turn on a dime. We may end up where President Obama wanted to take us eventually but, the nation as a whole will need to agree with it.
President Trump did some amazing things (from my perspective). He may not have won this re-election bid (we'll know soon enough) but, he set us on a course that will last for decades (SCOTUS) and I personally agree with much of what he tried to do. I didn't agree with most of what President Obama did. President Obama should be given credit (or blame) for much of the division currently running in this country but, people seem to have forgotten how divisive his agenda was and blame President Trump for the divide.

He’s referring to Rupert Murdoch. It’s a dumb comment.[This message has been edited by theBDub (edited 11-05-2020).]
