If former president Trump were to officially announce tomorrow that he was running again in 2024 all of this Sturm und Drang will drag out until August - October of 2024

I just did a quick perusal of the charges that the DOJ has brought thus far against those arrested and indeed it appears that NOBODY has been charged with RIOT.

The short answer is, THEY DIDN'T.
Nobody arrested and charged from the MOSTLY PEACEFUL events on January 6, 2021 has been charged with "terrorism".
Just like the crap that came out of his face related to the General Michael Flynn case, that's just more "oral feces" from Emmett Sullivan.
Good judges that follow the rules and the law know better than to spew bullshit like Sullivan does lest they be recused, overturned or in some cases reprimanded or removed from the bench.
Sullivan is obviously an idiot.
The problem is this:
An appeal, especially at the federal level, can very expensive and time consuming.
The vast majority of "Jan 6" defendants are average "Joe and Jane 6 Pack" and do not usually have the financial resources to mount a huge appeals case.
It's very likely that the old bastard Sullivan is counting on that and that's possibly why he feels "free" now to show more of what a monumental, biased, jackass he is.
Flynn had the money and lawyers to fight him.......these poor folks don't.

None of these are true. Most people cower when publicly asked about 2 of them. So don't expect anything to change when so many 'righteously indignant' people cower.
