ever wonder why all the talk of the socialist hero fireman and police, and little mention of the fact the twin towers was one of the tallest stacked piles of capitalist lawyers, bankers and such?

the US military is one of the largest socialist entities on earth. so, I would say most are fans, even if they dont know it. government owned, taxpayer paid...

know what the words mean.

most older folk are stuck with a lifetime of propaganda from the "cold war" about capitalism/socialism

and - lastly - socialism, capitalism, whatever - NEITHER works on its own. and everyone has differing needs on which they want the balance to sit at.

I always laugh when people try to use legitimate government functions as “proof” of socialism. Imagine calling a 5th century King a socialist because he has an army. Guys, don’t be confused by this ruse. Socialism is the government controlling the means of production like Venezuela or early communist China or Pol Pot’s Cambodia. It’s not having a police department.

Weird fact. I lived in an area that was ran by the KKK. (All Democrats). They hated the Skinheads and the Nazis.

The Skinheads down the road were all about anarchy, so you are confusing two different groups. The KKK, the Skinheads, and the Nazi party are different groups with different ideals and beliefs. I still know (though I haven't talked to them in decades for reasons) several people who are "Neo-Nazis". I had kids I grew up with that are members of the Skinheads. All the groups actively recruited in my area in the 80's. Heck, the Klan marched in the Christmas parade in Harrison and tossed out coins when I was a kid.

Look Up Harrison Arkansas. I lived there and Omaha Arkansas (The poorest town, in the poorest county in Arkansas under Clinton.) Among many other places.
I am glad I got the chance to live in several areas around the country growing up. I got to see a lot of different people. I went from Redneck Arkansas, to Ghetto Omaha Ne. to Chicago, and middle of nowhere Iowa. I've lived through some amazing things, and seen the best and worst of a lot of people.

At this point I'm thinking the BIG LIE was probably invented by a Democrat. What do I win? Is it a Concentration camp? It's a camp isn't it.

As an aside, I did a lot of work during a 2 year period for one of my clients that had a facility down in the Dominican Republic.

I was in Santo Domingo about every other week and stayed at least a few days each trip.

One of the memorable things about my stays was watching Cuban and Venezuelan TV broadcasts in my hotel room.
Watching Raul Castro or Hugo Chavez talk and rant FOR HOURS with the sound turned way down on the TV was "interesting".
That batshit crazy Hugo Chavez even had a damn children's story hour where he read to kids....about what I have no clue since my Spanish isn't that great.
