It was a JOKE.
Collusion... Collushnikov.
OK, I know I'm no Jimmy Fallon or whatever standup comedian that might appeal to you (if there are any)
I did a Google on "Collushnikov". I think some other people have been making that connection in their attempts at humor.

And I really should add, my underlying motivation was to "bump" this thread.
To see if anyone who hasn't already played in this sandbox might be tempted to scroll backwards, look at some of the previous messages, and offer some kind of reaction.
Or if not someone who has not already played in this sandbox, someone who already has--but has some kind of new or different reaction than what they have already offered by way of Reply.
This entire Off Topic sand box has become very, very slow. Very dormant. Is it a sleeping volcano that may yet erupt once again, with fast-paced and surprising kinds of messaging? Or does it no longer have that potential, to erupt, as it erupted periodically during an earlier epoch that most of us--except for maybe the newest members, and there are not many of those--may remember with a certain fondness for those now bygone years of impassioned debate?
What a question.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 02-24-2018).]

Yes
| quote | Would it now be in the best interests of this country to use that as a Get Out Of Jail Free Card (so to speak) for OTHER people and OTHER groups? Such as the friends and associates of one Donald J. Trump, originally from New York City, New York?
|
|
I have not seen a single post that has made this demand. Wrong is wrong no matter how rich or powerful a person or their connections are. They should be subject to the same punishment as a poor person.
| quote | If Trump gets a "mulligan" on that basis--because of actions that were not taken against Hillary Clinton--what's the next destination on that road?
|
|
Trump simply did not do any Watergate style scandalous activities with the Russians to win the election. The next road you need to take for your destination is Truth. I highly recommend you seek it, and not your comfort zone bias political views road.

How about "Anarchy, USA"..?

This is how clinton was feeling as she had her evidence destroyed.
| quote |
President Trump has not been formally accused of any wrongdoing by the Mueller team. Not President Trump. Not Ivanka Trump. Not Jared Kushner. Not Donald Trump Jr or Eric Trump. Not even Barron Trump. Until any of that happens, it has not happened.
|
|
On of the funny quirks about out justice system is that you need something called evidence to make this ball roll. In the case of clinton, she owned the people who were charged with this process, thus no charges.
| quote | Are people here "bummed" about what has befallen former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, or former National Security Advisor Mike "24 Days" Flynn? Do people here think that these Trump associates have been "railroaded" by the Mueller probe? It is just those three men that have been hit hard by the Mueller team, as it stands right now.
|
|
Speaking for myself,...no
| quote | I suggest keeping an eye out for an Inspector General's report, prepared by the currently serving Inspector General for the Department of Justice, that will review what went on during the FBI's investigation of the Hillary Clinton EMAILS and (I expect) other Hillary Clinton-related topics, like the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One.
I think it will be released before summer in the Northern Hemisphere is fully underway.
In the interim, the Muller investigation will continue to make the world safe for democracy, one lyin' Dutch lawyer at a time.
You wouldn't want to be walking around Times Square late at night and be accosted by a lyin' Dutch lawyer, would you?
|
|
I doubt it.

It could happen. I don't want to go off completely half-cocked, or serve up anything that's even more half-baked than my usual offerings. A propitious moment of calm would have to emerge at the surface of the chaotic whirlpool that is my predominant state of mind. It can't be forced. I cannot become the Buddha. The Buddha must become me.
