| quote | A misleading claim about the head of the Ukrainian energy company at the heart of the House impeachment inquiry went viral across conservative pockets of social media Wednesday, receiving hundreds of thousands of retweets and shares from some of the president’s most ardent online supporters.
The incorrect story, first disseminated by the finance blog ZeroHedge, claimed that Mykola Zlochevsky, the head of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, had been indicted over money laundering related to the Biden family. Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden, was previously on Burisma’s board of directors.
In fact, there was no announcement of an indictment. Ukraine’s chief prosecutor, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, announced in October his office would conduct a wide-ranging review of all previous cases involving Burisma, and Wednesday said he was including possible embezzlement in the investigation, according to Reuters.
ZeroHedge apparently misconstrued the original Russian article from the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency, which did not mention an indictment. The Interfax-Ukraine News Agency operates as part of Interfax, a Russian news outlet.
But that didn’t stop allies of President Donald Trump from widely disseminating the false account of an indictment, seizing on some truthful elements while wildly extrapolating others to offer conservatives and Trump loyalists a welcome alternative to the day’s news, in which Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, implicated numerous members of the Trump administration in the ongoing impeachment inquiry. |

And even when bills are passed(such as Ukraine aid), trump just elects not to follow through with executing them without also getting a political favor(until he gets called out).
This is just another case of republican projection, just like everything else they claim over the last decade. |

Do what theyre supposed to do. Advance laws and and constructive policies. Everything they try to do is outlandish or simply just plain stupid, so the Senate tosses it. They wont do anything for healthcare except make speeches, and zero for illegal immigrants. What they want is free everything for everyone which is an impossibility. Sensible Republicans are not going to give everyone that wants it, free college tuition for example. Not gonna happen...ever...period. So they throw the idea in the trashcan.
The Russia deal that went on for years has proven to be absolutely nothing for years now. When thats bombed they needed something new, and poof the whistleblower appears. Of course no one can know who it is, because they are probably made up too. Hillary and her supporters openly violated each and everything they claim that Trump has done illegally. It started with the 'dossier' that made all kinds of outlandish 'facts', like Trump peeing on the bed Obama used in a hotel with a bunch of prostitutes. Then you have the entire Trump family making illegal business deals with everyone on the planet. Either Hillary or Biden have done all the same stuff Trumps accused of, but lets not investigate any of that. Investigating is not even necessary, there IS actual proof of those actions. Bidens sons were on the board of Ukrainian mobsters companies ONLY by being sons of him...no experience in any of those companies fields. Theres physical proof of that. Trump supposedly helped Russia do something (what?) so he could build a hotel in Moscow ? Even if he wanted a hotel there, whats illegal about a hotel business owner wanting to build another hotel ? Am I a traitor if I try to open a body shop franchise in Moscow ? He was in the business long before he was president.
Any supposed criminal action Trump is accused of doing can be found on some liberal/ democrat if someone wants to find it. Hillary should have went to jail JUST for having an illegal server in her home as Secretary of State. Everyone on the planet knows that as a FACT. I guarantee Pelosi and Schumer even have some unethical skeletons in their closets too.

First, you ignore the fact that there was TON of information from the Russian investigation including multiple people spending time in jail.. Yet you want Hillary to go to jail? Hillary actually had the balls to testify, whereas Trump runs and hides.
It is so funny that you care so much about HER EMAILS but you don't care that Trump is essentially doing the same thing? Or you care about Bidens son getting preferential treatment but you don't care about Trump's entire family getting the same treatment?
All of your "information" about Hillary and Biden is based on hearsay, has usually been investigated(by republicans, usually) and consistently comes up with nothing. Yet Trump has been constantly sued and LOST and continually in court and somehow he is not as bad?
Republican Hypocrisy knows no bounds. Here, I will put in a way that many of you can understand.

As usual, one side of half the story......
I would give anyone who is interested in politics this advice.....
Do not take anything you read or hear at face value. Take the time to read reports, listen to testimony and questions in their entirety and be sure to dig deep into the back stories and history.
I have been immersed in current events since the early '60's. I have never seen the degree of partisan divide as we now have, the lack of truthfulness in the printed and broadcast press or the degree of ignorance among our poorly educated populace concerning political theory and history.
We are truly in a sad state of affairs, and the only way out is for people to dig deep for the truth. So few have taken the time....

Nothing Trump did with Russia was found illegal. Hillary did everything illegal. Just because some people you know or work for you go to jail for THEIR crimes...it has nothing at all to do with Trump. They all went to jail for fake crimes, telling lies about themselves and being their own crooks. How about that whole dossier being found to be all total made up bs ? Hillary and her comrades made up the whole thing so she could win...but voters saw right thru her crap and she got her azz kicked. DNC even paid for it...talk about bribes/ payoffs.
I dont care about Hillarys emails...except they were illegal and contained classified info, also illegal. Far as I know I dont recall Trump even using email. He tweets everything right out in the open or telephone. Maybe he does...unimportant to me.
I dont go after Biden doing what he and his sons do...except its exactly the same thing Trumps family is ACCUSED of . Its the libs that go after Trump, but same is OK for Biden to them. They want it both ways...in their favor. Trumps family cannot make any foreign deals, but Bidens can all be in cahoots with known mobsters in Ukraine. Id like to know what Biden promised or did for them to get his sons on the boards of shady companies. Again noting none of them had any knowledge of that companies business operation. How can I get on the board of directors of Trump Hotels when I have absolutely no knowledge of hotels...that I dont even stay in ever. Id love that $300k job though.
As usual you libs ONLY want any facts that you can use on opposition. Your own are of no concern at all. The Clintons have even been suspected in mulitple murders yet no one has ever investigated them in the slightest. You nuts just laugh it off.[This message has been edited by rogergarrison (edited 11-21-2019).]

I might look at this inquiry differently if, the accused was being given a chance to defend himself . But, that is not the case. The resolution the majority passed puts the Dems in total control of the proceeding. I’m not going to suggest that pressure was not applied to get the investigations. But, I fully recognize a lynching when I see it.
I don’t see a single Dem that is concerned about VP Biden getting the Prosecutor fired before releasing funds. Where’s the outrage?
Edited: And Yes, I do think HRC should be prosecuted for crimes against this country.

Picking up from my previous message in this discussion...
"MPs demand Zelensky, Trump investigate suspicion of U.S.-Ukraine corruption involving $7.4 bln"
That is the headline or banner at the top of a report that was published yesterday by the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency. https://en.interfax.com.ua/...krRvQN4SsIY_jYvCJQ34
What that says is "Members of Ukraine's parliament demand that Ukraine's President Zelensky work in tandem with President Trump to investigate suspected corruption involving $7.4 billion dollars."
After reading a report that was also published yesterday by NBC News, I believe that the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency report is about two (2) members of the Ukrainian parliament.
I don't know the total number of MPs that are currently seated in Ukraine's parliament, but I think it is likely a much larger number than "2."
Just starting with that, I am already inclined to suspect that what has been omitted from the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency report is more significant than the report itself, in terms of how any of it relates to the ongoing Impeachment Inquiry in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Truth be told, Ukraine has been investigating the issue since before Trump was elected. Biden attempted to obstruct the investigation. Trump wanted to put them back on track. Whatever his motivation, it was in the best interest of the USA. It is likely that Hunter Biden will be implicated in a money laundering operation that is peripheral to the Burisma investigation.
