Remember to "come up for air" every once in a while. My daughter spent days in the NICU. Hard times for us, but she just turned 18, so, keep the faith, we're sending prayers your way.

New Yorkers are tough!

Rumour,

I apologize for not posting in this thread sooner. I read the first posts a few months ago and assumed she went home for some reason. (I'm not really "up" on what all happens when you have a new baby.) I tend to ignore the "new kid" posts because it makes me a bit depressed knowing I will never know this feeling myself. However, after seeing it pop back up top I decided to check it out, you do usually post interesting stuff, and perhaps I was missing something.

PM sent. First photo she looks like ET. Something you want to tell us?

If she is anything like her dad, she will thrive. Prayers sent.

Yeah,that's it...

It's HER struggle
I'm just fighting to stay awake

She's fighting for a whole lot more...

It's her struggle. You've been in a few struggles in life. You know how powerful a motivator it is to know there's someone rooting for you, depending on you, urging you on to victory. You're giving her that. You're her reason to keep fighting. Never stop cheering and she'll never stop fighting.

She can do this.
You can do this.

I'll be keeping you all in my prayers.

It's been 143 days. Some were difficult due to various heath issues, others due it "other" reasons.

She is doing ok, but we need to be here the next 48 hours to make sure nothing happens to keep her there longer than she needs to be.

We spent many lengthy stints at the NICU, but these next 48 hours are going to be the hardest because we are both so totally, utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally. Past few days were rough. Gotta get through the next two.

Keep us in your thoughts.

I was just thinking about her the other day and was going to PM you yet again and ask how she is doing. But with my memory I forget when I got to Hal.

Good vibes and prayers from all of us here in the woods in Maine.
