drive by wire (Page 5/5)

It was awful, I almost didn't make it. It got down to 29 degrees in Central Florida... I had to wear a thick heavy wool trench coat. It got so cold we decided to drive down to Miami where it was in the 50s and 60s so we didn't perish.

That's awesome about the Crane Cam... I intend to use it, I sprayed it with WD-40 before I put it away in storage. They're raising the storage fees for both my units, and now that I live here, I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and put my Fiero in the garage. So I'm looking forward to start working on my Fiero again...

Hahah... it's true, there are a lot of people like that. But I think more than anything, you see people wearing these clothes because they can. In Miami and Fort Lauderdale, you really only get 3 months where the weather is like 60-70... otherwise it's year-round 80-90 with humidity, and one month where it regularly gets to 100. We have the ocean breeze, so it always "feels" like 80 in most parts of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but on the rare occasions when it dips into the 50s... or sometimes even lower, it's the opportunity for people to break out their winter jackets which otherwise sit in the closet all day long.

For me... I spent many years growing up in Connecticut and Massachusetts. It's no Ottawa, but it still got pretty cold! For me, when it would hit the mid 40s... that became shorts weather. We'd just wear a sweater over our t-shirt.
