A third capitol police officer has been found dead of suicide. That is obviously sad and unfortunate, but it also seems a bit odd. I don't know what to make of it.

I know some will jump immediately to the easy answers, based on their preconceived notions about what "really happened". I don't care about that. Does anyone have unbiased insight?

I have no insight into that situation, in fact it's the first I've heard of it.

I also have no idea of the total number of capitol police officers that were directly involved in the January 6 riot but I do wonder at what point the number of mounting suicides cease to become "odd' or "coincidental" and become something else*.

* I am NOT promoting or even suggesting any "conspiracy theories". In 2019 a national total of 288 law enforcement officers took their own lives. That number was up from 172 in 2018.

I have not yet found any reliable numbers from 2020.


EDIT: The NLEOMF only counts line-of-duty deaths, and suicide isn’t considered in its annual law enforcement fatalities report. According to Blue H.E.L.P. (honor, educate, lead, prevent), a law enforcement suicide-focused nonprofit that supports fallen officers’ surviving family members and records LEO suicide statistics, 173 law enforcement officers committed suicide in 2020.

Three suicides inside of 6 months within one police organization out of all the police departments in the United States (1.74%) suggests that there may be an issue there.

I saw where someone copied a post from Gab that a 4th officer who worked the Jan 6th rally to preserve election integrity has committed suicide.

It must be very biting for officers to know they are/were instrumental in this sham we're living under.

The count now stands at four capital police officers who committed suicide and they all worked in the special division office. Nothing from mainstream media.
