That's what you say NOW. You've changed your tune since this time last year because you had to eat your words about the injected contracting and spreading and even creating variants.

Well in terms of true government efficiency four weeks past placing an order for these I've received no updates. I don't/didn't need the tests I really submitted to get tests just to see service levels, and in true government fashio it as fully met my expectations.
Did anyone else order tests? When did you order? When were they received?

Ordered mine the day I started this thread, technically the day before they were accepting orders. Received my tests 7 or 8 days later.

Ours still haven't arrived, and they were requested on the day they were announced available. Could it be that when looking in the conjoined gov/health/police/dna databases, and saw that someone in my family is not 'jabbed", they decided to not send?
I picked up one of these before I went on a trip 2weeks ago:

You guys can get your tests. I'm not dissing you for it anymore. Especially if you're doing to appease some situation.
Be aware that it's just not a reliable process. My primary care physician says the tests are only 60-65% accurate. But some local venues require a negative test of something with that low of a efficacy rate or they require proof of an injection that is less effective than the tests.

I have been very impressed with our system. We can order "free" tests online and they arrive the next day.
There is also a code system where you can get a code to take to the pharmacy. That does not work so well as often no stock.
In June the freebies will end.
Sounds like I could probably order a test here and get it to you before yours arrives.
I see Dougal is still around.[This message has been edited by PK (edited 02-21-2022).]

Oh thank gawd... you have no idea how difficult it's been for everyone who's been waiting for your blessing!

Efficiency of the at home tests depends on which type of test kit you get and whether or not you are symptomatic. The antigen kits are more likely to result in a false negative if your infection level is low and you are not yet symptomatic. A positive test under the same set of circumstances is much more likely to be more accurate, tho not always 100%.
The following link will lead to accuracy studies of 13 different at home tests, and the lowest accuracy I saw was 84%. (it was last updated Jan 26 2022) https://secure.medicallette...oads/5041a_table.pdf
I've yet to find any home test available locally (free or at cost) and like others, am still waiting on the 4 I ordered from the govt website..

I'll listen to my personal medical professional. You can believe what you want. We know that every popularly released official statement has proven to be false. My doc is old. His patients are old. He has experience to draw upon. Believe what you want.

Thank you for asking me to reply again.
I'll dumb it down with a translation of what I said because some people can't understand or just want to create a reason to cause the same discontent that they've practiced for years.
So, I'm not saying this to poo-poo getting the test, because it's probably something useful to some of you. But if you haven't heard, please understand that the tests are only a measure over 50/50 on accuracy. IOWs, don't rely on the home test to protect those at risk people just because it says you're negative for coronavirus.[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 02-21-2022).]

I suspected USPS would be overwhelmed, that's why I posted this originally a day before they were supposedly accepting the requests. Received mine in about a week. I know of others that got in early with the same results.
Mine is sitting in the pantry just waiting on one of us if we believe we might be infected. We're pretty careful with our social distancing, wearing masks when required and since we're fully vaccinated, aren't really concerned for ourselves.
Those that don't take COVID seriously, well they are on their own. Decisions have consequences and rewards, that goes both ways.
