It is the sticks, sorta. Short single-wide street with 5 houses in about 2 blocks distance, and the beanfield right across that street. Rural areas were built like that here to save $ running utilities. They only have to be run to a cluster instead of 5 individual locations in the middle of the field.

Hey Lonzo!
Let's see.. Previous owner is from up north so he was kinda an absentee. His problems came from a fishing trip with his family, rancher apparently had invited friends to use my Property (former owners at the time) to launch their boat there. When they arrived they drove right past the owner aand his family into the grass and started getting ready to launch when PO told them they needed to do it elsewhere. They left but about an hour later, rancher shows up drunk and belligerent (as usual) and bitched him out for making his friends leave.
My hope is that since new buyers are using it for commercial beekeeping that any involvement with the police would be more favorable than for me since it's a business. After all, they weren't going to charge a ranch owner for false reporting because he was in business.
Anyhow, when selling a property you provide a disclosure for all known issues with the property. Would you believe there's not one place to disclose the neighbor is a POS? 😂

So what do you think you're going to do? Are you going to go looking for some other property?
For what it's worth, I have property near Lake Okeechobee, FL that you're more than welcome to camp out... don't need to give or do anything for me. It's not the easiest to get to (dirt road), but you're welcome to stay. it's off a canal, but there's water buffalo (whatever the hell that is) and probably a lot of snakes and some other **** . But the canal is large, and connects to lake Okeechobee which is just half a mile down the way. Lots of banana trees though... so you have that if you get hungry.

Hey Todd!
That's a really nice offer! I was *Just* down there in June visiting with some friends and online gamer pals. My property had rattlers, mountain lions and the occasional Bear would come through. I would say I got used to it, but even my last night there a mountain Lion came to visit and it wasn't a small one...no I never got used to it. But I *am* used to environmental challenges and would love to check it out some time...in the winter lol. Florida was so dang hot and humid! I am never going back between May and November.
Life is full of ups and downs. This was a down, but the offset is I have learned the art of boondocking over the last 4 years. I know free campsites in almost every state I've been to, and some states I know dozens. So although I will no longer have a home base of land out west, I literally know dozens of places to go that don't cost a dime and you can stay for 7-14 days in each place depending on the spot. In that way, I don't feel like I am losing that much and gaining instead a nice chunk of change to upgrade from Sprinter to a bus. Yes indeed, the next step is a shuttle or short bus to convert this winter and then I'm going back out on the road in the spring.

Asian water buffalo. Florida supposedly has the 2nd largest concentration of wild water buffalo in the world outside of Asia.[This message has been edited by maryjane (edited 08-13-2021).]

I hope the new owners don't have the same issues. A profit is always vice, but sucks you are being forced out. Cameras, live feeds, fences are great and all, but an injunction in many places doesn't mean you'll ever see restitution. I personally don't enjoy roughing it. I started hating that in my teens. I eventually want to be a homesteader. Montana or the like sounds great. Yeah eff Florida in the summer. Louisiana is no better. My last house 2 old ladies had died in.
How's business been?

Absolutely, I mean it. Any time you want to come down and camp out on it, I'll send you the address. Just PM me and I'll send it to you!

How safe can that be? I'd suspect many off season vagrant carnies and the smarter cronic drug addicts would inhabit all those places. Theft, attack or death seems a much higher probability doing that.

Well I guess anything you do is only as safe as you make it for yourself. I minimize risk while boondocking by staying to myself, listening to my gut, and only putting out what I want to take back in. I don't look for trouble, but know to keep a level head if it finds me.
Most days I see nobody, but it depends on location. I have a bit of self defense training (jujutsu) and plenty of weapons with me in case someone gets crazy....which, honestly, can happen anywhere. I've never had problems boondocking and camping *knocks on wood* and very rarely feel unsafe..and when I do, I move on.
Boondocking sites are more popular than ever, everyone I run into seem pretty "normal" .. no junkies or carnies that I know of 😂
