Bear in mind that Trump may very well be tried for STATE crimes. Only Federal crimes are pardonable by the POTUS. (Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the President “to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”) If he was convicted of a state crime, he could still go to jail/prison. He's doing a good job of eroding his powerful fanbase. Those that stormed the Capitol don't have the juice to help him out of a conviction and for the most part, those are his current fans. I'm not sure he can pardon himself before the fact but I'm not an attorney so what do I know. I would imagine, if he proactively pardoned himself for any crimes he may have commited in the past and/or may commit in the future, he'd lose the few powerful friends he still has, especially the political ones. Besides that, Trump is what, 74? Assuming he's NOT convicted by the Senate for the current impeachment and if he is, assuming the Senate doesn't vote to disallow him to hold future office (and I doubt those will happen), he'd be 78 when he ran again in 2024. There are other Republicans who will probably get the nod before he will.
Just my opinions (other than the Constitution thing). I don't discuss my particular politics.

WHAT CRIMES?
We are constantly being told about his imaginary "crimes" and there is never any specificity or detail.
You say "may very well be tried", so precisely WHAT provides you this assurance?
...and, again, WHAT CRIMES?
............................................
Oh by the way, not even the President of the United States can pardon himself, or anyone else, for future crimes......
....and Dementia Joe will be sworn into office at the age of 78

THREE.......HUNDRED......THOUSAND.......DEAD......DUE.....TO......COVID - Because of Trump both downplaying the crisis and dividing our country.
Also, giving away a number of strategic situations in the world to Russia (Your favorite country)
And, of course there is a real possibility that he gave away substantial state secrets to his buddy Vlad.....

I didn't vote for Trump. His main failing was that he wouldn't fire anybody. Almost nobody and should've fired many.

The country turned out for Trump bigly. Then they turned out over a million on the 6th. Biden had to have staffers fill seats at his speeches.

He won. Even 25% of Dems said so.

You haven't seen wrecked yet. You guys are set to flood the country with illegals from Mexico to Africa.

Anyone who will take the bait. He imagines himself to be exceedingly cleaver, though in reality he is not even very entertaining.

A million didn't. They have the agitator first hammering the Capitol window captured at BLM protests. He was just one of the provocateurs.
You aren't done seeing civil but peaceful unrest from the right.
