A friend and I played chicken on bicycles once. Hurts like hell when nobody's chicken.

I rest my case (for now).
Trees are not your friend.
We have now had 11 or 12 power outages this year and all but 2 were caused by trees or limbs on the line.
(1 was ice caused and the other caused by a moron losing control of his 'bubba truck' and running into a utility pole)

Went to the county fair today to watch some of my friends pull garden tractors. Some get pretty creative.

Redneck engineering

My employee of 41 years on his stock altered. Kohler V twin. These things dyno at over 85 HP at 7000 RPM and run a wheel speed of 40 MPH.

This one beat him by 5 feet for the win

Just 100 yards left to do later today.

Why do I have to do it?

Because all that crap belongs to The People and they won't keep their crappy crap off my fence and property. It's a labor intensive pain in the butt and I'm really tired of The People's lazy attitude. Fire and herbicide, by law is not an option for me, but it is for The People but they won't because The People are lazy.
Yaupon and other sticky thorny crap and it eats me alive.

As the Scandinavian Airlines pilots say: "VERT DA FERK?"

Bushhogged some trails and shooting lanes where I have a stand about a mile back in at the end of our old place. My dad cleared that spot and planted reeds canary grass there 60 years ago. Not sure why he did it, since it's 1/2 a mile through the woods to get there.
