A) Patrick- I hope no damage was done- I recently bolted my 1902 house to it's foundation (Not sure if it survived the 1906 EQ Intact)
B) Cliff, maybe Patrick's house is a......."Crack-house" .......(I'll shut up now)

When I say I heard the house "crack"... I'm not saying it split in two like an egg. It's the noise a wood-frame constructed house makes when it shifts a bit. It's the sound of studs and sill plates and joists all flexing against each other. No harm done. If/when the gyproc starts falling off the ceiling, then I'll be concerned!

Sill plates and joists flexing against each other. Great analogy.
Earthquakes are caused by the sudden movement of tectonic plates along faults in the Earth's crust, which releases stored energy in the form of seismic waves. This movement can occur due to the buildup of pressure from the plates sliding against each other.

. Lectures that could save your life. NPC'S can't answer ~ See, nature has a way to thin the herd, it's cruel and necessary, more resources for the survivors, more food, more water, more life. ' Thank you Mother Nature '
' Yeah ! That's a great idea ! I better get ready for the calamity that's gonna happen, like clockwork, time for an M9 MegaQuake ! '

. Big Vibrations ! Coming soon to a West Coast city near you, for sure, like. Doomed to sustain the terrible destruction, ruining all that mankind has built. Vancouver's buildings fallen, failing on liquified soil, skyscrapers falling sideways, unreinforced brick buildings crumbling. No water, no food, no power, no fuel, no transport, no nothing, forever, decades even. Prepping for calamity, like, like, that Noah dude, the original dude, wayback, we're told an Angel warned him, gave him plans, drawings, instructions, to float above the Flood, the forty days.
' I think I want to stay above the water, the waves of the Earth, M9 vertical amplitude, lateral acceleration, big, massive, huge, totally, like. ' ' Hmmmn ! '
Emergency balloons, survival capsules, water, food, power, fuel, the very basics in supplies, stashes for survival. ' Come with me, if you want to live ! ' ~ Arnold

A place such as Richmond BC (which is built upon river sediment) would probably disintegrate and sink in a mega earthquake... whereas most of the city of Vancouver sits atop solid bedrock.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 03-12-2025).]

A large volcano in Washington State is actingstrangely, prompting scientists to install new monitoring systems to it. Mt Adams.
Mt Spurr in Alaska ia also more active currently. It is expected to have some kind of eruption within a month. And.......Sharkcano has erupted... https://dailygalaxy.com/202...no-sharkcano-erupts/

17th Annual Cascadia Anniversary Lecture .
Mexico City earthquakes ! So, like, a Vancouver M9 then, would be X 1000 ! Big Badda Boom !
' I think I better be prepared for a calamity ! ' Yep ! Spending significant sums to prep for the Doom, ' Nothing remains of Vancouver, It all fell down ! ' Water, food, fuel, shelter, the basics at minimum. A quake-proof home, that would be a wise investment. A stainless tanker truck as a water reservoir, good for a year, or two. 50 Tons of food, a family of four, more than six months, maybe a year. Fuel to heat the shelter, for years. ' Get Ready, here it comes ! '
' Yep ! ' ~ Noah, wayback. [ Lex Fridman - Graham Hancock: Lost Civilization of Noah ]
