This is a stunning, dynamic interpretation of “Ajde Jano”, a Serbian folk song in 7/8 time. The addition of a string quartet and the bass clarinet lend a symphonic richness, and the piano player reminds me a bit of Jess Stacy at Carnegie Hall in 1938.
I first saw this video about a year ago and it instantly became one of my very favorite.
