One odd thing I noticed, on BOTH browsers, is that when you do a Google search, and click on a page in the results, it will refuse to load that page due to some "security/certificate" issue. I think it does the same thing with a WebCrawler search, but I'm not absolutely sure, at this moment. Odd.

Raydar, if that occurs with any/all pages, I suspect it's specific to your PC... as I still sometimes use Win7 with both Firefox and Chrome on my dual-boot OS PC, and I don't have that issue. Maybe post a link to a page where you get that "security/certificate" message, and I'll see what happens when I try going there while running Win7.

Well. the title sorta brings me back to '75 and "Have You Never Been Mellow" by ONJ. Bought my '68 GTO 4 spd for $700. Oh God they were great times!

During that era, I would've been cruising in my big-block '67 Chevelle SS396 listening to Highway Star by Deep Purple blasting from the car's speakers. Mark, I love the old GTOs, but we've obviously got way different taste in music.

I kinda like this one. Keepin' the dream alive. Highway Star by Chickenfoot

Little bit of trivia...
Satriani toured as Deep Purple's guitar player when Ritchie Blackmore was having a tantrum. He was very humble about it. Still blew Ritchie away, IMHO.

What, no replacement for Jon Lord? (Not that there could ever truly be.) Without a Hammond B3, it just isn't the same song! (Here's proof.)

Not at all, one of my oldest albums is Made In Japan. Love the live version of Highway Star. The cool intro where Glover plucks a bass string and you know what's coming next!

Jon Lord and his actual replacement in Deep Purple (Don Airey) are my two favorite keyboard players.

I went to Lowes, Conns and Home Despot yesterday looking for one (actually 2) of these.
https://www.acurite.com/sho...zer-thermometer.html

I know for a fact Lowes used to carry them but neither the guy working there, (I'm guessing about 15 years younger than my 75 years,) nor his manager had a clue what they were, but when I finally got it (after multiple attempts) over to them that it was NOT a thermostat ( had to get loud about it..IT'S NOT A THERMOSTAT SO STOP CALLING IT THAT!) the manager then looked on her display and told me I could order one on-line from Amazon. I told her if I wanted to order one on line & from Amazon I would have stayed at home. The old guy said "I've been working in appliances for 5 years and never heard of one of those".

I just told him "I suspect there's lots about appliances you never heard of and you might think about going back to whatever it was you were doing 5 years ago because you aren't very good at this. All ya'll really know is whatever that display shows."
Home Despot no longer carries them either and Conns guy told me they don't because most new freezers have a temp monitor built in. I explained that the major appliances that some of us that bought quality stuff before they started selling cheap Chinese s*** didn't need one but I still want one for my old Kenmore because of power outages.

To be honest, Ace Hardware is often more knowledgeable than any of the big box stores.

Which is why I frequently order stuff from Amazon. The brick-and-mortar stores just don't have stuff, anymore. (I've tried. They're really their own worst enemies.)

The thermometer? I've got a mechanical, analog version of that. Has a dial and pointer and everything.
Just throw it in the freezer or fridge. Check it later.

For the top post,
Many companies no longer put return 'lopes in bills now. Yes is part Because They Don't want to pay thru mail for many reasons. Also USPS doesn't like you writing checks either because so much Mail Theft now.

Mail people get robbed just for the Keys to get into Drop & Mail boxes that USPS owns & Gang Boxes use by apartments etc. (Some areas have Drop boxes that look like mail box w/o a slot on top. These are/where to store mail so carriers don't have the weight.)
Examples:
Suspect sought after mail carrier robbed at gunpoint in University City https://6abc.com/mail-carri...ty-mailman/14302412/
Philadelphia police see increase in mail thefts, attacks on carriers in recent weeks https://6abc.com/mail-theft...phia-crime/12580159/

I still get many Bills thru snail mail but pay all online for 20+ years now. Plus have most accounts to have ~ same due date so can pay all in < 20 minutes, often < 10 minutes. Comcast/Xfinity & some others allow you to change due dates. For Years, If I have to mail anything, I go to Inside box @ post office or put mail thru company mail often go to Post office directly too. I use Direct Deposit for Paychecks for same reason.

I avoid Auto Pay for most companies because often very hard to stop that fast when have emergency of any type. That also prevent company from double billing & other problems pulling money w/o you notice.

Even then Never use Debit Cards tied to Checking etc online. They have No Fraud protection except whatever the bank/carrier provides. Credit Cards have Federal Laws making them way safer the any Debit Card & Fraud Limit to $50 per event & even then many carriers wave even that.

Side Note: The return 'lopes cost money to buy & more weight to mail = a lot more money just to give away envelopes that 90+% of them just go in trash or "recycle" bins. The companies also get "hammered" by Govmnts & Greens to reduce paper that's thrown away.
USPS Business Mail is totally different than you mailing anything as First Class mail.
