"The Hangzhou company confirmed it was their bot and that it was supposed to be a test..." hmmm

For anyone who might be interested in AI image generation, and how it has advanced in the last couple of years...
It might've been just over a year ago that I downloaded and installed Automatic 1111 onto my relatively old Windows PC. I then had to get an nVidia graphics card for the program to work, so I picked up a used GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM, which is definitely on the low end of what will work with this AI program. I've posted a few created images here and there in PFF.
I recently downloaded and installed a new AI image generator, Forge UI. It's like the previous program on steroids. It not only creates superior images, but it does it quicker... using the same hardware as before.
Just for fun, I wanted to see what Forge UI would do with an AI image that had been originally created with Automatic 1111, utilizing the image-to-image component of Forge UI. The original image had been a text-to-image creation. Don't laugh, but my text prompt to create the original image had been... "Scantily clad female mechanic working on a Fiero engine, illustrated by Leonardo Da Vinci". Hey, I was curious how that first AI program would interpret this text prompt. This was the result...

So what I did yesterday, was bring that image into Forge UI, utilized its image-to-image generator, and got it to churn out numerous images. A text prompt is still used in addition to the supplied image when doing image-to-image generation. I basically asked the newer program to update the image, but to make it realistic, more like a photo. Well, the results were quite interesting. Although actually pretty tame, many of the images nevertheless cannot be posted here ... no boobs allowed. However, this is a family-safe example...

What I got a real kick out of, was not only the pretty girls, but I loved all the bizarre looking engines that the AI would dream up. However, sometimes the girls would come out looking rather strange as well.

Often the totally screwed up images are more fun than the perfect ones.
[EDIT] More examples of AI art I've created Here.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 01-14-2025).]

A classic Hendrix song from the 60's, updated with the coolest AI imagery I've ever seen in a music video. All images are computer generated. It's mind blowing!
[EDIT] The original 4K video was removed by YouTube for copyright violations. This 1080p version (not as good as 4K, but better than no video) was uploaded sometime later.

One of the military boards I'm a member of, one particular old but popular thread, the old farts are prone to post scanitly clad photos they find on the web, with about 1/2 of them being Ai or something similar. I call 'em paper dolls or barbie dolls and often point out their obvious( to me) flaws. Dead giveaway is almost always a blurred background. Other times, it's obvious for other reasons.

It's getting better... but yes, AI has had quite a problem with the correct quota of fingers... or any number of other body parts.

Her left arm and hand just looks un-natural as hell too. A search showed this one came from somewhere named Deviant Art.

Problem ?
Such a great creature in Total Recall. The forum will not allow me to copy an image and paste it.
