$4,300 Ticket to see the Boss (Page 3/4)

I don't investigate an artist's political leanings or nationality or ethnic origin or religious persuasion or sexual orientation before I decide to watch/listen to their craft. If they've got talent, and it's something I enjoy... rock on!

In regards to Bruce, I'm not really a fan. There might only be two or three of his songs that I like... but this is definitely one of them.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....

Give it a week after the concert and the entire performance will be posted on Youtube.

Love that Courteney Cox moment at the end.

Oh, for sure. She was such a sweet, innocent looking little thing there.

I don't actively investigate. Most of the time it's fairly evident, or common knowledge. And I generally don't care.
But if I'm paying to see a live performance, and they start running their mouth about their "political causes", I'm gonna get annoyed. Same goes for Nugent as Springsteen. (Although I wouldn't likely pay to see either of them.)

I mentioned Roger Waters earlier. He hasn't released any new music in years, that I know of. I bought his first two (I think) disks after he left Floyd. On top of the fact that he's an azzhole, he's just not that good. All he can do is re-hash Floyd's music. If I want to hear Floyd music, I'll go to a Gilmore/Floyd concert, or watch a tribute band. There are some really good ones.

Steve, for some individuals, it seems attributes other than the artist's talent play a huge role in regards as to whether they'll allow themselves to enjoy, or even to expose themselves to that artist's work. This doesn't only apply to musicians of course, but also to actors. It always blows me away when I read someone post here that they won't bother to watch a particular movie because some actor or another is in it with political opinions contrary to their own. Geez, so what! It's not like this actor has the power to magically pause the movie, step out of character, and pontificate their political views.

His best song was a cover.

It was all downhill after that.

Same here, Born in the USA was the only one I could tell you he sung.
