How many of you drive cars with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side? (Page 3/3)

One of my friends is blind. When he's in the RHD Subie, we've often laughed about how funny it would be to be pulled over by the cops, and have the officer come to the left side front door to see my blind friend sitting in the "driver's" seat behind one of these.

(✷‿✷)

Have had people double take when Tishabelle falls asleep in Fiero.

Another thing that has maybe happened a few times is accessing a ticket machine/venue/customs with a booth set up for "drivers" side access!!!

PK, you've brought up a very good point. Prior to COVID, I'd be crossing the Canadian/US border every few months to pick up merchandise bought in the States through eBay which was shipped to a US based drop-ship location just across the border. It saves a lot of money on shipping charges. Even though I've got no criminal record, I don't enjoy being grilled by the border agents both going and coming back over the border. The last thing I would want to do is to use the RHD Subie to drive across the border. It would probably further aggravate the already cranky border agents, that I couldn't hand my ID to them without them needing to come out of their booth and over to the right-hand side of the car!

i don't know about the drive-thru at fast-food 'strants....But I figure if you drive up to a toll both and are on the >>Wrong<< side then you should get thru for free.......

I think you've either got your years confused, or your models. The first year that USDM WRX's were available was 2002. And I rather doubt it would've been a JDM model that you saw, as they can't be brought into the States until they're 25 years old. (In Canada, the requirement is 10 years, so we get all the good ones. ) The only other possibility is that the wagon you saw was a regular Impreza, and not a WRX.

Yes, those old 2-dr Chevy Nomads are beautiful wagons!
