Form 1s are to manufacture NFA items, and essentially the NFA is denying Form 1 approvals for suppressors by saying that the materials you are using to create a suppressor are already a suppressor, even if you don't have the parts in your possesion yet. Military members or veterans still have to follow NFA laws for personally owned weapons, but the federal government does not.
IOW, they are trying to tell you a forest is already a log cabin ?

Got my approval yesterday but the dealer is closed on Mondays. Picked it up and it's finally at home with me.

Fingers crossed the NFA could be a thing of the past.
My 3d printer is just sitting here waiting to try it some of the available designs.

I agree, 2A proponents need to go on the offensive and never compromise. To compromise is to lose slowly. Sadly I was not able to go to the range this weekend as I was working on my Recaro swap into my Regal GS.
