THIS.....This the singular piece of music that I have always associated with Halloween.

Maybe it's due to Disney's use of it in Fantasia, maybe not, but it captures the *spirit* of the holiday for me more than any other.



Now I'm wondering if perhaps we will get to take a short PEER into the HALL of another Norwegian monarch's mountain....

For about seven years, I worked along side a lady who was born and raised just about a block from Grieg's house.

But the remaining two nights are both reserved for the same composer. Two pieces written twelve years apart will be presented here in reverse chronological order.

Don't have any musical selections (I do like Toccata and Fugue) but I have a picture I took back in 2013.....Up in NE CA near Medicine lake (Lake in a volcanic caldera)...My GF and I were riding our bikes back to camp and as we got back on the (Gravel) road I looked across and saw something that almost made me fall off my bike- then my GF said "You've got to be F-ing kidding me!" .....Me; "What?"....Her; "The tree!"...Me; "Yes, the tree!"

This is a real tree- I did not retouch the picture...I have wanted for years to go back up and see it again- but I am afraid if I go back...It won't be there!
