Like fats said.

I personally don't care if they get vaccinated or not, that's their personal decision.
But they are no better than anyone else who wants to cross that border unless determined by someone other than me to be essential. That's not their or my decision. Personally, if it were up to me, they would be designated essential but, it's not up to me.
For me, this is not a COVID issue, it's more of a rule of law issue. If one doesn't like a law, get it changed legally and not through damaging two nation's economies.

That's not suggesting I agree with the requirement, and I don't get to make the rules but, the rules apply to everyone IMHO.
I also agree that truckers and medical personnel and a few others should be shown respect for what they've done during this pandemic.
Should trucker's and medical personnel be considered for a special exemption from the official rules? Again, I don't get to make that decision, but if it was allowed for those essential folks to be granted a pass, I have no problem with that either.

I don't agree with a minority tying up two nations border crossing or denying others the right to use that asphalt. Whether its BLM, Pipeline Protestors or anyone else. Obviously, I'm in the minority on this forum but, when it comes to your or our city/asphalt, don't start bitching about it.

A long time ago (dont remember the thread) I posted a question about the limits of "rule of law"

That question went some thing along the lines of, and using the 1970's "Logan's Run" T.V. series as an example...

What would you do when "the law" demands you kill yourself by a certain deadline. Obey the law ? Follow the "law" process which will likely extend past that deadline, and the suicide will be done for you ?

Or say "**** you and **** your laws" and fight for your life and rights ?

I guess we are finding out, and given the information that's coming in on these clot-shots side effects, I was a lot closer to the truth than I thought at the time.

"Rule of law" is only valid so long as most believe in those laws and consent to them. Otherwise it's just another dictatorship that devolves into revolution.

You are seeing that consent being withdrawn. For exactly Logan's reasons.

Thought a judge said they have a right to be there?
Can you get laws changed when the dictator will not even entertain a conversation?
My reply was to you because you said, if your job was on the line, theirs is.

Honestly, I don't know Canadian law but pretty sure blocking the roads, ports and streets would be illegal without a permit but, you'd have to ask a Canadian that question.

If so, I hadn't heard or read that. Reference the conversation, leaders can always be replaced if, they go against the majority's will. While I may be very wrong on this, I personally believe this blockade will only strengthen his position with the supposed majority.

Has that asphalt been designated a "Free Speech Zone"?

If so, then my argument is mute admittedly.
But, I'm thinking it's closer to being Trespassing at a minimum at this point. Or, something similar, admittedly I don't know Canadian laws.

Both of our entire countries are "Free Speech Zones" (contrary to what the jackboots seem to think)
