That’s your opinion since you view everything from far left field. What you cannot comprehend is that conservatives want small government, less rules, and more personal responsibility. The Taliban represent the opposite of conservatives and more closely mirror your beliefs. They want oppressive government oversight and rules so draconian they include stoning women. More like Democrats than Republicans.

Stoning women; you say it like it's a bad thing.

But I bet it's not just women, right? But that is frequently an ad hominem that's constantly repeated.Seriously, it's their country and women will destroy if they are empowered.

I always heard women get the stoning, but men are treated differently. As Mohammad said, it takes two women to equal one man in Islam.

Learn tolerance. It's their country.

Easiest to tolerate for most Americans when it stays in their borders, wonder if that will continue to be the case?
Though tolerating it it also means ignoring atrocities, which isnt easy for some.

Anyway that is kind of off topic.

* So.. seems like no one actually wants socialism, its just that people have differing opinions of were it comes from, what causes it and what its details actually are.

Just because we have hundreds of bases in over a hundred countries, well, we don't need to be fulfilling this role.

All kinds of atrocities going on in Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Palestine. Really it's easiest to ignore them when the propaganda tells us to.

Gov is needed. Gov is parasitic. Gov needs the boot of the people on it's neck. A republican governmental form with some social programs and perhaps a little anarchy relating to personal behavior is palatable for me.

Yes mainly to avoid it ever becoming the other way around.
