Some seek out opportunities to stir the pot even when the pot is empty. As I remember, "Stirring pot or arguing is half the fun in.............. Well, it appears wherever".

Don, why are you so butthurt over this. This vehicle is a flying CAR... no "perhaps" to it. All cars are required to have a parking/emergency brake.

Good guy Rumor starts a fun thread, I ran with it, and now you wish to make a big deal over nothing. You're picking an odd battle to be making such a stand. I thought you were bigger than this.

Switchblade, designed and marketed as a Flying Sports Car, Street-Legal Vehicle.

And how many of the vehicles posted by MJ are "street-legal"? How many of them operate on public highways? How many are therefore required to have a parking/emergency brake? Zero. Zero. Zero.

Seriously, who's "stirring the pot" here?

It's no wonder people give up on (and/or don't bother with) the forum. There can't even be a fun thread in O/T without someone feeling the need to be miserable.

So these are kits, starting price $170,000. Not knowing anything about aerodynamics, the nose seems quite long vs. the wing position. I would be more comfortable if there were some small winglets up there, at least giving the appearance of lift.

Serious question: if an owner gets into a car accident, and gets the vehicle repaired, do you think there would have to be some air-worthiness reinspection of some sort?

I would suggest that it depends on the FAA certification the aircraft has. I've known of a home-built light aircraft that did crash resulting in (what I considered) significant damage that was returned to flying status by the owner/builder with absolutely no inspection. I highly doubt this "flying car" is FAA certified for much but, that's just an opinion. If it can't hover, it's not really flying. It's surfing on air.
