Williegoat? (Page 2/4)

Willie brought a lot to the conversations he participated in.

The whiskers has gone to rest......

Sincere condolences to his family and everyone he touched with his music.

Aw man......that is terrible. (Evidently, I was wrong about our age differences too)
He will be missed here.

I always wonder 'what happened' in these type sudden disappearances. It does appear, that a couple of months elapsed between his last post in OT and his death......a stroke maybe?

My wife has instructions to pass on information regarding my health and/or demise to about 6 different websites, either by logging on with my creds or a phonecall to someone else. Simply to avoid rumors that I may have (again) been abducted by aliens.

Oh no... this is horrible... I'm so sad to hear this... **** ... I didn't come back to this thread for a few days, and figured he was just busy doing things.

I'm so bummed... I can't even tell you. He was an excellent musician too. Damn man... I don't really have anything to say.

In the obit website's guestbook, I made a short comment and submitted the photo that Jake had posted farther up in this thread. I found it odd no one else from family or friends had posted anything, but that's how it is sometimes.

Don,
Thanks for bringing that up, didn't realize one could do that. Probably should have said something different but, it came from the heart.

So sad to hear.

October 29th 2024 ? It took us that long to notice his absence ? I am sure he was a rich man with family and friends. I know I liked him from other than his politics. Actually I should say I also respected him. I wish I was a fly on the wall during his memorial service.

What if Jane did not know you were abducted by aliens ? My Wife, Cindi, you know her, has the same instructions.

Thanks Don for the link ... https://obits.accucarecrema...com/william-marking.

I posted a thought there but screwed up. I entered it before I was done. It does not seem to allow edits.

I would hope one of us will instruct his family to know about all our feelings and opinions. It seems like I am only allowed one submittal.

Perhaps we can coach them through our "search" feature to read all about him.

I would have to look way back thru a lot of his posts to even determine how large his family was. He was pretty private. I can't recall mention of wife/kids etc.

I recently (Dec-Jan) went thru this on another website with a member that was in his 80s, a widower, Korea War veteran, USMC. All us old vets check in there almost every day, some times more than once per day. It was 2 weeks between the time he said he posted he was having health issues and we found out he had died. Because of his stature as a Korean vet, we all knew him. He had been there a long time. (There are about 50,000 Marine vets on that website, 2.5 million vets total.) It's hard to suddenly see a void.
