'50s to '70 wiring... check the wiring to a outlet box etc. Many have grounds but not wired. If true must connect the grounds at every box back to the Load Center w/ new "3 pin plug" & so on. Means checking switch boxes etc to make sure is all grounded too. Then "double check" w/ 3 bulb outlet tester to make sure the ground works.
Example: My '50 house has 14/2 "Romex" but ground not used. Good thing the ground wire wrapped around back on insulation not cut off so fairly easy to go thru every box & wire them.
Many had same but ground cut so harder to fix but Wago could help because doesn't need a lot of wire to connect.

⚠️ If still alive, many insurance co's will Void any policy because of that crap. IOW you have No house insurance even when you paid for it.
New Load Center (Breaker box) often requires new Service Entry parts like Newer meter box & more depending where the Load Center lives. This requires Permits from city etc even before you start & inspection(s) after. You can't even connect new service to the pole/pedestal w/o permits & electrician w/ more paper w/ power co giving permission to connect.
Many old Fuse boxes & Any newer breaker box won't allow "Knob & Tube" to connect & Pass inspection. This is True in most areas for Decades.
IOW Might get insurance then they void/cancel it when inspectors/adjusters see have very old wires like "Knob & Tube" or new equipment w/o filing permits etc. after a fire.
Worse Newer Codes call for Arc Fault breakers & more in new or rewiring jobs in many areas. AF breakers are Expen$e but many people think there a scam because even many Electrical Engineers can't dup whatever setup the breaker prevents. Because many to most things Arc just turning Off/On or plugging into X & False Tripping would happen A Lot if Trips for any Arc.
