I am writing this because I have to. This story has been cultivated in my head from the last 25 years when it began with a 3 person audience when I first told part of the tale.

Because it has to live, it's not about "making it" or moving readers but that would be a nice side effect of the work put in. For me, there is this other world that needs to live more than just in my mind...I feel like I owe it life of it's own.

Getting a new laptop next week so I can get more organized. Everything has been pen on paper and my whole work space is cluttering up.

How's the writing going, T-Bone?

Still proceeding along in the random way I was. Two more full chapters, but I have 7 chapters started/partially wrote. I made sure to get it all outlined out to maybe 6 books, but this first one will (in a way) stand on its own. A few characters have developed very strongly.

Biggest problem I'm having is finding the time right now. Work has us doing 12s until Christmas and I'm just exhausted. On my days off I've been trying to get the bus finished (getting close) so I would like to get as much done on that until the snow hits then I will change gears back to more writing right after Christmas/bus gets finished.

I'll try to record another excerpt soon, looking for better software for my laptop to create videos with. I've been using my phone to do those so far.

Thanks all for the continued interest, im plodding along and have wrote at least 60k words more than GRRM has this year. 🤣 More to come soon.

If you are keeping all of that on your laptop, make sure you make regular backups and maybe keep a copy in another physical location.

Most should to that...

All data for this book should be archive in various other ways too.
Like turn on edit history in windows & word or whatever word processor. Set auto save too.

Easy & "cheap" is 2 USB Hard Drives & close programs & copy to each.
Many hate "spinning rust" but will keep data on them for many Years w/o power. Many SSD & other Flash media can loose data when have no power for months.

Any old HD can to the job. If buying 2 new USB drives, don't get same brand or @ min same model to buy @ time. While somewhat rare, can have a batch of X drives that die @ about same time whether HD SSD etc.

⚠️ Warning: "Cloud" storage can & has lost data for people falling for that scam. Worse you have little or no protection for "cloud" workers or others to steal your data even when claim is Encrypted + Apple, M$, Google & many others can Cancel your account at will & without Notice. Far worse is now Apple & Google are using "AI" to cancel the account & even report you to Cops under "save the kids" & other labels.

Hi TBone, I'll give it a listen tonight! I'm looking forward to it. Is it going to be in print too? I'll definitely buy a copy when you release it.

Thanks!

Well hopefully in print, but I may have to self publish to get that. I have an author friend in the business and she can probably help make it a reality, so yes I'm planning on printed books as well as self narrating the audio books with a friend for female voices.

I appreciate the enthusiasm. I want to make this the most horror-y fantasy book anyone has ever read. Like 70% horror, 30% fantasy...if that's a thing. If not, I'm making it a thing.

Yeah man, seriously... I love this kind of stuff. Just keep it up! I only ask that I get to buy a signed copy!
