Main point is Very Likely Nothing you can do to "fix" this problem. 90+% of BT was never going to reach out but very few ever knew and still don't.
They see Wiki etc and get bad info showing 10m but almost nothing reaches ½ or even ⅔ of that.
Related: In the "old days" where many "walky talkies" use CB 14 and often hear CB radios w/ 5 watts "legal limit," the "toys" limit to 100mw and often worthless to transmit > 50 to 100 feet in a clear field. Many bought FRS Radios claim "up to 35 miles" range often can't reach a tiny fraction of that because UHF band used has same problems as UHF TV Channels.
