Is the Ender Neo decent?
What price range is considered ‘worthy’?

Really depends on their budget.
We recently got another 75 buck Sculpto2 to do a few videos on how you can use a 75 buck printer to print out a thousand dollars worth of "practical prints". (These things normally go for 30-40 bucks a set)
Thing is, in our experience, these printers are little silent TANKS. We've nearly-silently printed off tens of dozens of practical prints and "giveaways". We have printed larger items for folks, it was just nice how well it handled THIS piece...

It's still in the back of my mind to build a piper out of the enders. 500x500x500. Still uses wheels instead of rails, but at least the tubes are captive on them and permanetly solves the wobble problem.

I'm thinking just change the volume parameters in the Cura profile and run it as an E3, that way there is no screwing around with firmware (uuhhggg, I hate that).
Problem is, I am not set up for printing ABS, and I haven't had a lot of luck with PLA or PETG stepper brackets. They last a while then start sagging. Need to find something else for those.

After 3 years doing this, I've found about ALL of the "hobby-level" printers---$300-$600 CDN--- are the same quality-wise.
They run problem-free for a few months, then start wearing and a few things need replacing (wheels, steppers, hot ends), and by 6-7 months they are nickel-and-diming ya to death trying to keep up, while print quality is going down because of the worn parts. Time to treat it like an old car and off to the parts heap.
I've been through 7 in 3 years.
Mind ya, I DO run them hard (24-7-365).[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 11-24-2022).]

I run mine 24-7 also, only had this ender a month but no clogs so far. No problems at all except adhesion issues. This pei build sheet is pure sheet for sure. Im using the sculptos bed for printing lmao. The only issue I never had w the sculpto was adhesion. Being able to adjust the z axis on the fly w that screw is priceless, I miss that machine. Gonna get another for sure, very cool to watch. Had a yuuge print going, left for work, errands, pick up the kid from school, then to his classes, anticipating going home to see my finished print. What do I come home to? No joke, a 3' diameter ball of angel hair pasta! @#$$!#$%%$# Print detached from the build plate(as soon as I left it looked like) and the machine will just keep on spitting out filament till the programs done. It was still going! Couldnt vent cuz the kid was there. "Are you mad dad?" my kid asks lol. So my ender is now aptly named "chef boyardee". Its done the pasta making thing a few times now, much better success w the sculpto bed-even tho its round. Sometimes the file doesnt have the z set all the way down, so id have to go into cura and lower it into the build plate. Had that happen a few times this week. Peep stanford bunny on thingieverse
and def print one of these! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5650303 Im makin these in different colors and sizes as gifts, ordered a "rainbow" 6 pack of filament from matterhackers. Turds sent 2 reds, 2 greens(not even normal greens either), a yellow, and a purple lol wtf

Go for the glass bed. Sometimes a little hairspray, sometimes nothing. When it gets dirty hand sanitizer and copper (not steel) kitchen scrubbies get it new again in about 90 seconds.
<edit>
There are all kinds of variations of that bus on Yeggi or Thangs. Pen holders, boxes, bug-meets-bus hybrids. Lots of fun stuff.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 12-03-2022).]

The glass bed is one thing I havent tried for any printer, always use a bit of hairspray. Blue painters tape works great too. Or leave alcohol on the bed for a minute and scrape off all the gummy stuff, then the bed will be super tacky and prints stick great. I got all the tricks, just want it to work 100% of the time but they always need a little fussin. Made a spirograph for the kid yesterday, he loved it! Always wanted one of those, think I played w it more than he did lol. Totally in love w this sprite extruder, havent had a clog yet, definitely woulda with the others. Definitely on the f$#@ bowden tube extruders, even my old flashforge had a mix of the two that worked good. No more disassembling the machine to change filaments, push a lever, change, and done. The filament gets inserted all the way to the nozzle so easily I friggin love it. The touchscreen on this lags tho, takes a few seconds to register. Also when the bed and nozzle are heated, it kinda sits there for 30 seconds before starting the print. Those are my only complaints about this chef boyardee model

I had a couple of successful prints, but starting to have a few failures.
I thought my first failure was a nozzle clogged. I did everything and even replaced the nozzle, and my next print was great.
Tried to reprint twice the successful print, both failed after awhile. What it appears is that it isn't sticking to the glass bed. Maybe the bed is too hot.
So far used it only 5 times.
First print was the default boat. It was perfect.
Second was a badge coin item, and that failed.
Cleaned and replaced tip.
Third was a drill holder. It was perfect.
Fourth and Fifth, both failed after about an hour or so checking on the print, the bottom layers was moved off the glass bed and a jumble of molten mess of a plastic.
Not for sure what went wrong, but it was similar to the second print. I'm using PLA and default with PLA prewarming as videos suggested.
Print PLA default is 200 degrees C nozzle and 60 degree C bed. Using Ender brand PLA+.
