HD and Westinghouse Violated The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act regardless of "right-to-repair" and FTC have taken action same in other cases over many years.
JD, All Carmakers, and Others have used Copyright, DMCA and DRM to stop anyone for fixing or making parts for whatever and Not The Same thing. HP and other Printers, Keurig 2.0, and many more have used different scheme to add DRM to Many Thousands of things for past 2 Decades because of DMCA make "cracking" DRM Very Illegal for most items.
Keurig 2.0 was direct effect Keurig Patents ran out and tried to kill competition of K-Cup® pods. JD have serialized hundreds of parts and software that runs their tractors won't allow the unit to operate w/ parts not registers in the local database that only JD Dealers can legally run the "Scanners."
