I also mow the property behind my home just to keep it cleaned up without some of the ugly ass weeds that grow here in Mississippi. It's not mine but, I don't really care. There's a pond on that property and I'd hate to think that automated robotic mower would try to go surfing or diving...........

You can run it in the rain, but not use running water to clean it off. You would run a boundary wire around the pond and it would never go inside so there's no risk of that.

Well, I just convinced myself that won't do for me. Way too much wildlife drinks at that pond for a wire to stay put. I can just see that robot snorkeling.

Boundary wire is staked into the ground. Nothing will move it.

Something to keep in mind for the future. I like the idea and would sure as heck enjoy not suffering from all my allergies that kick in when I mow but, I also enjoy my Kubota with all it capabilities. Hopefully, they'll build an automatic (remote controlled) robotic automower with a front-end loader, a rotor tiller, a carryall platform, a box blade, a weed sprayer and a pond scoop that does more than just mow. If they build that, one may show up at my place. But, I do like the idea of being able to just pull up an ap on my phone to get the yard mowed.

That has what, a 12" or 16" cut width?

Depends on the version, saw one that was only 9.75 inch swath. With all that I mow, my six foot mower is slightly faster at getting it done but, that also means I'm out there doing it. Thankfully, I enjoy doing things on my Kubota, just not that allergy crap.
I do have one question about this product's activities. My wife has one of those robot vacuum cleaners that uses some kind of random pattern to cover the entire floor it has access to. Does this automower cut grass in straight lines across a yard or does it bounce around in a random pattern like the robot vacuum?

It cuts the grass in a random pattern. You can set it to run as much or as little as you want and can schedule it as well. Since it runs so often no grass ever gets too high and you can adjust the height of cut as well. If it notices the grass is too high, it'll start to spiral cut the area.

Interesting but, the last sentence you posted just ruled it out for me. I already have someone that let's me know when the grass is too tall. Don't need another version.

I would love to get one of these. It's good to know a few people that have them and use them and are happy with them. My allergies are pretty severe. Even with the combination of things the allergist prescribed, when I mow the lawn (even with a dust mask)... I'm going through a box of tissue and having sneezing fits for a while.
Right now all my 'fun money' is going into my Fiero though. But this will be on the list!
