Those albums, along with a handful of others collectively called the Warner/Reprise Loss Leaders, were offered for mail order on the inner sleeves of more mainstream albums back when I was in high school. Their intent was to promote some of their more obscure acts. You had to be looking for something a bit more “Avant Garde” to take notice.

The “Zapped” album is more specific, in that it was comprised of artists that Frank Zappa thought deserved additional exposure.

As you can probably surmise based on their condition, I have had them for over 50 years.

Edit: In case all this just sounds like random crap, the "Zapped" album includes two tracks from "Trout Mask Replica" and Obama + Trout Mask = rinselberg + Sturgeon Mask.
