That describes some leftists, for sure. But it also describes about as many people that are clearly not leftists. It describes about as many people who continually rage against what they call "leftists" and "leftism" until they're blue in the face. Irreversibly blue in the face.
In fact, this "dig" at leftists (from sourmash) is exactly what is seen in the veritable firehose of reckless insult and hubris that streams endlessly from the mouths of certain shameless malefactors that costume themselves as "conservatives."
