Simultaneous amphibious landings in Cork, Ireland occupied by forty divisions of armored, Taiwan forced to submit to the CCP's PLA, Ukraine slightly invaded, again, just the tip. Biden_Joe is unable to state a comprehensible thought, repeats blarney, mumbling, stuttering, conning all the people again, those suckers. ' Do you believe Biden_Joe, or any portion of what you're being told ? '

A cable factoid, communication networks. ' In 1988 AT&T, Standard Communications Laboratories (a subsidiary of STC), and the French firm Submarcom collaborated to lay the first fiber-optic cable across the Atlantic - TAT-8, the eighth transatlantic telephone line. '
SS Great Eastern Brunel's Cable Ship Some context, Victoria's Russian campaign. Things change, men remain the same, repeating the same errors, then going to war, again.

Russia moves the naval exercise that rattled Ireland
https://www.msn.com/en-us/n...ATi2tx?ocid=msedgntp
Russia says it will relocate naval exercises off the coast of Ireland, after Dublin raised concerns, amid a tense dispute with the West over the expansion of the NATO alliance and fears that Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine.
The February 3-8 exercises were to be held 240km (150 miles) off southwestern Ireland – in international waters but within Ireland’s exclusive economic zone. Ireland is a member of the 27-nation European Union but not a member of NATO.
Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney last week objected to the war games, saying: “This isn’t a time to increase military activity and tension in the context of what’s happening with and in Ukraine. The fact that they are choosing to do it on the western borders, if you like, of the EU, off the Irish coast, is something that in our view is simply not welcome.”
Russia’s embassy in Ireland on Saturday posted a letter on Facebook from Ambassador Yuriy Filatov saying the exercises would be relocated outside of the Irish economic zone ”with the aim not to hinder fishing activities”.
Hmm, I wonder. Did the threat of a fishing fleet in the area and the possibility of interference deter the Russians?

Ireland. A nation in the North Atlantic Ocean but not in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Turkey. Not in the North Atlantic Ocean but in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization because they successfully threatened their way in due to holding a sliver of land in Europe that they said would be used to flood illegals through unless they got accepted.
Sounds like a legit org.

Except Turkey got into NATO in the '50s primarily because they joined the allies late in WW2, and because they can control the Bosporus Strait. The Bosporus controls access to and from the Med Sea via Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea. The Strait gives the Russian Black Sea fleet it's sole access to the Med.
Turkey's threat to flood Europe with refugees didn't take place until over 60 years after it was admitted to NATO. Only about 1/3 of 30 NATO partners border the North Atlantic.
I generally categorize Turkey as a frenemy. Erdogan is certainly NOT our friend.[This message has been edited by maryjane (edited 01-30-2022).]

Ah, yes. So it was. It was the EU that they were threatening in an attempt o achieve acceptance.
NATO. Not really for the North Atlantic nations. A bogus org used to weild power against some nations and to subvert national sovereignty in others.
