"Did someone say "WALL"..?"
The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon has it: https://youtu.be/0wIGi4vPf2E?t=84
If the 2024 presidential candidates are Trump and Biden again, it ought to send fund raising for Alzheimer's research through the roof like never before.
I'm doing this for the "benefit" of the forum members who only seem to have an eye for Biden's on-air weaknesses and foibles, without seeming to make any of the same connections in their minds with what people were seeing and hearing when Trump was in front of cameras or microphones. (And are still seeing and hearing.)[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 01-24-2022).]

Yeah, but Biden was caught here on a "hot mic." With Trump, the offensive and disrespectful (and sometimes incredibly stupid) words were just part of his prepared remarks, or his spontaneous remarks in front of microphones and cameras that he knew were "live"--not "hot mic" moments like this one that Biden just had.

So, what you are saying is it that Biden did not intend to be open about his opinion, while Trump was honest. Personally, I prefer honesty to deception, but that is just me.
Or did you mean that Trump's words were carefully chosen, while Biden tends to fly off the handle?

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us are aware of former President Trump's comments. Personally, IMHO his best one was "Lock Her Up". But, that's just me. The question I posed to you was about our current "President". No, I was never a "Trumper" but, he was the only choice at the time. Again, I'll ask about Biden's statement............

That was Trump, just the other day. When he took Hannity's use of the word "wall" completely out of context and started talking about "border wall."
I really don't know about Biden's "hot mic" moment today.
I actually haven't caught up with it.
I don't think I need to, to see how what Trump just did, that became part of Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show monologue, fits into this discussion. Especially, in connection with the word "dementia", as it was used in this discussion by some other forum member. You'd have to scroll backwards to find that.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 01-24-2022).]

Trying to throw a curveball are ya?
I have to take the lack of a response as approval of such a statement from our President toward the press as acceptable by you? My feelings won't be hurt, I didn't approve of several things former President Trump said also but, Trump is not the subject in question.

This looks to me like it could be one of those "members talking past each other because they are posting messages at the same time" kind of moments, when the conversation gets out of sync.
I'm not going to say anything more on this, until maybe considerably later.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 01-24-2022).]

Not speaking for anyone else or about any specific individual but, I'm still looking for that "Ignore Function". I honestly believe we'd all be better off with one.

I would be, as well. But considering the source, I'd wear the event itself as a badge of honor.
Update - It appears that the reporter (Peter Doocy) doesn't much care.
