A little background: there is a farm family up the valley aways that talks in the slow drawl that is common here, but these fine folks are most known for hemming and hawing over trivial things. A friend told me a story that he related to one of them. He told him about sitting up against a tree in the woods when he heard a load buzzing sound very close to his ear. After a moment, the humming bird flew around in front of his head.
