are the '' charities '' the Gop supports really doing good or just part of the religions attempt to control and dominate
like the church run homeless shelters that are indoctrination centers more then shelters with very strict rules and constant preaching and preying on the homeless but never really solving the basic problem
Gop ''charities'' all have agendas rules and conditions do they care or just put on a show of fake caring ?
and you site fixing social problems like that is a bad thing
when that is the base of why we have a government

All charities have an agenda. Every single one. I realize you are an old hippy but damn, lighten up a bit. Most charities do good for whatever flavor they represent. A few are scams where most of the money goes to "administration" costs. All have stated objectives. There is nothing wrong with preaching to the homeless. It's probably meaningless to people with mental issues but it's certainly harmless and may even help that one person who needs it.
I didn't say fixing social problems is a bad thing. I said progressives and liberals want to pay higher taxes and have government fix social issues. The problem is government is the worst agency to fix damn near anything. Many would say government is the cause of many social problems. Conservatives want less government. That's why we give generously to charities we believe in. We help our fellow man generously and it's a matter of record.

They ARE the cause of most social problems, without question.
It is NOT their job to make up over 1,000,000 "rules" (laws) to micro-manage every single aspect of every single individuals life, then make themselves wealthy and create an entire industry enforcing those "rules" THEN even wealthier providing useless patch-work solutions to the problems they created in the 1st place, all financed via armed robbery....er...taxation against the will of the individual.
Kinda like stabbing somebody, then expecting them to be grateful you called an ambulance that they are going to have to pay for, plus pay for their call, and the time, and the effort at 20X market rate, and then you will jail them and take everything they own if they don't pay, but since they dont have the money and you do, you will give them a slavery-loan to pay all those bills you caused......How about just don't stab them in the first place ?
