thanks for the reply and explanation.

Are there any elections in your area that we should be keeping an eye on today?

I have no faith that Democrats won't cheat. I think the Dems pull it off.

Just the Atlanta Mayoral sh!t-show. (Thank God I don't live in Atlanta. You couldn't pay me enough...)
Speculation is that it's going to go to a runoff.

Nothing much in Tx. A handfull of state amendments passed by the legislature have to be approved by voters but nothing of much interest to foreigners.
prop 1 would allow for charitable raffles at rodeos.
prop 2 would allow for counties to issue bonds for use outside towns.
prop3 would prohibit any state govt from closing acess to religious services regardless of health risk.
prop 4 increases the law practice time period requirement to be ble to serve on different Texas court presidings.
prop5 increases state judicial conduct reviews to include judicial candidates and not just those currently serving.
prop6 (probably the hottest talked about proposal on the ballot) would allow any nursing home resident to designate 1 person that cannot be denied in-person visits regardless of any health or social risks.
prop7 would limit school property taxes levied on surviving spouses of landowner with disabilities and over age 55.
prop8 would expand property tax exemption to military next of kin of those killed anywhere in the line of duty and not just the current 'killed in action'.

74% of the vote is in, Youngkin: 54.9 % of the vote, McAuliffe 45.1 %

Probably too early to call this race but, this is interesting.

I heard on the radio (but can't confirm it), that Fairfax County has stopped counting because of "equipment problems".

OK, I searched one more time and stories are now showing up: https://www.wusa9.com/artic...8a-bba9-a5267103f633

Well, I'll be damned!

As of 11:25pm EDT there are less than three percentage points and less than 100,000 votes separating them.

"Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe declined to concede the Virginia governor's race to Republican Glenn Youngkin, telling supporters late Tuesday there are still "votes to count...create."
