Flu Vaccinations? Yeah, it's that time again. (Page 2/3)

I'm 55, never had the flu and never had a flu shot. Rarely get sick at all actually.

The shot is the topic. And almost every year they fail at picking which varieties will be most virulent. Because they're just guessing.

It's probably mostly a tax dodge as well as a social engineering scheme to teach people how to line up.

Some folks don't get them, some folks do. I honestly don't care cause I'm getting mine, you do what you wish. Same reason I used to do a good pre-flight of helicopters I used to test fly. Precautionary steps can save me a lot of issues and crashing can hurt.

Both my pharmacy and my family physician have contacted me saying I need to come in and get a flu shot but, when I ask about combining it with a COVID booster, they don't see any problems but suggest I contact the Moderna Research folks for any concerns they may have.

So, I have spoken to my Moderna contacts and they agree that there shouldn't be any issues but have advised me that there must be a 14 day window between the two vaccines because, both vaccinations can cause similar effects (such as a sore arm, fever, fatigue...) and since I'm in the Research study, they want to know any symptoms I may get from the booster is due to the booster vaccination and not a flu vaccination or because of some effect the combination my result in. I don't expect any major symptoms in that I didn't have any symptoms from the first two vaccinations. I do have friends that have taken both vaccinations and survived without any issues.

So, I'll be getting my flu shot ASAP so that I can get my booster in two weeks. This assumes our anti-vaxers don't come up with some evidence of another addiction or malformity caused by the flu shot. My re-occurring addiction to Orange is enough for me to handle. Wink

I didn't know Moderna has an approved bosster yet.
Won't you have to get the Pfizer booster?
I haven't made up my mind about the booster yet, but leaning toward getting it.

(Yes, I will get the flu shot, probably next week)

Addiction to Orange?
It's fall and you know what that means...

Not sure how it works, but I have heard that some people will choose an opposite booster on purpose. The theory is they will gett the best benefit of the two companies?
