Ever get tired searching around for human teeth that are almost impossible to find? (Page 2/2)

A DOLLAR???
A WHOLE dollar?
Each?
It was a dime when I was a kid and my own kids only got 2 bits for each of theirs.

To be fair, a dime in your day is eqaul to $2 in mine.

Also, I guess I have no idea how old the tooth fairy is. I would never introduce this notion to my child. Why were we ever incentivizing baby teeth loss?

There are kids that are afraid to pull them and end up swallowing them in their sleep. The parents then get the pleasure of searching their stool to make sure they come out.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago and peeked at the link in the first post but it really didn't register with me until today.

The last human cadaver that I worked with was unusual for a couple of reasons.

1. We had ordered and paid for a " half", which is exactly what it sounds like, which is 1/2 of a body cut off midsection just above the pelvis. What we received instead was a whole cadaver. (We were doing FDA implant procedure studies for a hip fracture pin device I designed.)

2. One of the surgeons on our team got curious because the cadaver looked to be an elderly Asian female and I remember him remarking that it looked like all of her teeth had been removed post mortem.

I didn't think anything about it at the time but now it seems to make sense.
