No way it isn't a million now. He's a craftsman.

Edit. My house will be fine too. Stilts. We are both inland. Not many of us left down there.

All my coonass friends buzzing trying to crash at my okie spot. My family partying on a top deck of a wildly historic home. They gonna get 174+. I was in Okieville for 300+. Moore. 12th and Santa Fe. The heart. When they say it sounds like a train, not a joke.

Not sure who left but, lots of folks sure filled up I 59 on the north bound side. Gas/Fuel went up due to Ida. Wind has been blowing like crazy and it's been raining sideways some but, we're good. Have friends that let me know they lost power but so far, I haven't. I put the PTO generator on the tractor yesterday and hooked it all up just in case but haven't needed it. Got tired of the tornado warnings last night and just went to bed. Worry about the things you can do something about not those things you can't control.

Why are you awake? We're all off I-10. No one could get home Friday even on half day work. One pardner is on MS LA border. 1t years younger. QQ because it took 3 hours home.

Why am I awake? Because I have 165 lb. dog that decided he needed to go outside and take care of his "business". It'll be a long day, once I get up, I'm up for the day. It is, what it is.

Holy cow thats a big good boy.

I'm nowhere near but I went and filled up all the cars because there will probably be fuel price spikes even over here.

Yeah, and he's the runt of the litter. His daddy weighed 220 lbs but to be honest, he was fat. Bowser is trim and just about where the vet says he should be.

Reference the fuel prices, any excuse to raise prices is a good one (they think). So yeah, probably a smart move on your part.

I don't know where in the hell I thought you lived, but I didn't think you lived there.
Y'all stay safe.

What little I've seen led me to believe that this was more of a wind event than a rain event. (As if...)

Steve,
I don't pretend to be any kind renowned meteorologist, I do know a bit about weather due to my aviation past. All I can really tell you about Ida is, it started raining yesterday about noon here and rained off and on as rain bands passed by the rest of the day and into the night. Rained pretty consistently all night long with winds in the 35 to 50 knot winds then, about 0430 or so, the winds kicked up all of a sudden to about double that for about 15 to 20 minutes then returned to their previous speed. My assumption is, the eyewall passed about that time somewhere to the west of my home. The pond out back is about twice it's normal size, over flowing while the current rain keeps up rolling down the hill into it. This wasn't a major issue here but, down on the coast, they have some pretty serious flooding. But, they always do during events like this. You couldn't give me beach front or property closer to the coast, just not interested. Folks that live down there enjoy what that area has to offer, makes no difference to me. Ya makes yer decision and live with the rewards and the consequences of that decision.

Edited: Sun just came out, we got just a bit over 6" of rain in the last 24 hours at my house.

Rams

He used to live in Oklahoma, not far from Oklahoma City. He has recently been spending some time in South Louisiana.
