Contact the closest fire department. If they cant help then bury them in a hole with the valve sticking up and knock it off. You want to control the bottle and be far enough away incase it gets interesting.

The weak point is still the valves. What about building a wooden cradle and weights guillotine that could snap off the valves?

And of course absolutely record video, for posterity's sake
Probably nothing will happen, but if it does... video!

step 1) Give the bottle to a Democrat.
step 2) Tell him to make sure it doesn't get damaged.
step 3) Go home and watch the news.

The salvage yards used to accept them with valves removed. No more. One of the reasons I want holes in the bottom is to then cut the bottom end off and make a 3 tube wind gong.
Scroll down a ways. I've seen it done and you can hear the things 1/2 mile away. https://www.pirate4x4.com/t...nk-question.1429770/

To cut off the bottoms of the tanks without a spark/fire could you rent or borrow from a plumber friend a soil pipe cutter?

Can you get a big pile wrench on the valve bodies and get them to turn in the cylinder? If you can do that you can loosen the valve body slowly and the gas will slowly bleed out.

Well, that doesn't sound like much fun and most surely won't get many video hits on UTube..

No actual experience Don. I rented a house once and the guy leasing volunteered he had a 300 WINMAG and that it would stop an engine block. I have 3 consecutive numbered. I always forget the brand. A Belgium rifle. I have never shot any of them. Field Grade 3 if that'll help you know the brand. They aren't in my home safe. $1000 optics that aren't mounted or sighted if you want to borrow. Bring it back sighted or cash. I'm good either way.
