My neighborhood has a lot of menopausal women on antis, beta males and intolerant homosexuals. Yards signs last election were mostly Dem.
The gossip level makes me think of a trailer park.

It happens.
We got new neighbors last fall. The old ones were cool and nothing bothered them. These new ones are entitled "hippy" millennial snowflakes who make a habit of threating to file legal paperwork every time they are oooofffeeeennnndddeedddddd. Last week they threatened the property management company because they have a few ants, earwigs, and bugs in the place.....GUESS WHAT ? It's a rural area, we have bugs (and mice, and rats, and racoons, and snakes and....) buy some traps and spray and STFU.
Wont do a damn thing themselves, expect the world to revolve around them, and have turned this street into a prison because you never know when you are having a smoke or beer or whatever in the WRONG place, or they dont LIKE the smell of <insert bull-kaka here>[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 08-10-2021).]

Kind of a dick move selling it to bee keepers knowing they are going to have a worse time.
I feel for you, life sucks. Why doesn't the farmer just buy the property? Hell find some endangered plant that is protected and plant a field. (then hide the body under it) Not that I would do something like that Its your property, setup some game cameras and catch the ass hole in the act.

I don't know if they would have a worse time or not. The Bee Keepers are local, I have a hunch (only a hunch) that me being from out of state was one of the reasons for his rage...and I'm having trouble finding any other reason, really. Just provincial nonsense.
My old realtor told me the rancher made a low ball offer for the property a few years back before I bought it but he wasn't interested in paying anywhere near market value. Besides, until I got there, nobody was ever around to make him think twice about just using the land whether he owned it or not
I imagine the game cameras would disappear as well. After all, there's no electric or phone on site so if it wanted some kind of surveillance equipment it would be limited by those facts. So best option is game cameras with batteries and memory sticks that I would have to leave there for months and hope they don't disappear before I get back. Not ideal, Jake.

Or, like a previous drummer in Spinal Tap, on someone else's vomit.

The whole time I'm reading the original post I'm thinking to myself call Rip and take him to the train station.
Sorry about your situation. Only you can make the decision how to best handle it. Hope you come away with a sense of relief.

The Long Black Train! Rip is my favorite for sure, but I think he has questionable taste in women.
Interesting related note, the property is not that far from the Wyoming border.. unfortunately there is no steep cliff by the welcome sign. Just the river.
