Cliff, I was only 10 years old at the time so I had not started vocalizing in such words. When I exited the tent I think it was bit of a high-pitched sound....
Funny story about the 1st time I heard bad words; The FIRST time we camped at Trinity(1965) our friends had told us to "Launch at the marina and go around the corner to the left"....They failed to tell us which marina! We ended up at Minersville campground because we were lost and the wind was blowing hard. My mom was cooking dinner while my father was setting up the tent- it had a bunch of poles inside the tent which he was struggling with when a gust knocked the tent over- several clunks from inside- followed by a number of words......I went to my Mom and said "Mom...Dad is saying words I never heard before" and she looked over to where he was crawling out of the tent, then looked down at me and told me to "Go down and watch the boat- make sure it's safe with all this wind"
It was many years later that I came to understand what those words meant......
