This will end just like your post about the false claims that Trump tried to strong arm the GA official. BS. |
|
| quote | President Donald Trump encouraged Georgia’s chief elections investigator in a December phone call to uncover “dishonesty” in her investigation of absentee ballot signatures in an effort to reverse his defeat against Joe Biden in the state, according to a recording of the call released this week by the Georgia secretary of state’s office.
“The people of Georgia are so angry at what happened to me,” Trump told Frances Watson, the chief investigator for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, according to the recording. “They know I won, won by hundreds of thousands of votes. It wasn’t close.”
He added, “When the right answer comes out, you’ll be praised.” Later on the call, he said, “You have the most important job in the country right now.”
The Washington Post reported on the substance of Trump’s Dec. 23 call in January, describing him saying that Watson should “find the fraud” and that she would be a “national hero,” based on an account from Jordan Fuchs, the deputy secretary of state, whom Watson briefed on his comments.
In fact, he did not use those precise words.
Rather, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize Fulton County, where she would find “dishonesty,” he said.
He also said, “whatever you can do, Frances, it would be — it’s a great thing. It’s an important thing for the country. So important. You’ve no idea. So important. And I very much appreciate it.”
When The Post first reported on the call, state officials said they did not believe that a recording existed. Officials located the recording on a trash folder on Watson’s device while responding to a public records request, according to a person familiar with the situation, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the internal process.
Watson has not responded to requests for comment. The Post originally withheld her name because of the risk of threats and harassment directed at election officials. In an interview with WSB-TV, she said she was “shocked” by Trump’s call but did not feel pressured by his outreach. |

That's about half of the report.
"Recording reveals details of Trump call to Georgia’s chief elections investigator" Amy Gardner for the Washington Post; March 11, 2021. https://www.washingtonpost....3f7709abe_story.html
How much of a difference is there between what WaPo first reported about this phone call, and what they just came out with based on the audio recording of the phone call?
There will be a decision at some point from the office of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) about whether to file charges against Donald J. Trump.
I think that decision is going to hinge on more than just these particular words and phrases that Donald Trump used in this one phone call.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 03-17-2021).]

BREAKING: Washington Post retracts claim that Trump told Georgia election official to 'find the fraud'
They retracted. You didn't have the honestly to post that they admit it was falsely claimed.
A judge is leaning toward allowing a case to proceed. But WaPo has already admitted their fake news.
You don't want to be known as "Fakenews", do you?[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 03-17-2021).]

From the Washington Post:
| quote | | Correction: Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source. Trump did not tell the investigator to “find the fraud” or say she would be “a national hero” if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find “dishonesty” there. He also told her that she had “the most important job in the country right now.” A story about the recording can be found here. The headline and text of this story have been corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump. |

The newly published poster offering up to a $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Konstantin Kilimnik is from the FBI. Not from Rachel Maddow.
The newly released declassified report on "Foreign Threats to the 2020 US Federal Elections" is from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Not from Rachel Maddow.
I wasn't particularly looking to work her name into this. She just kind of came along with the one media report that came up first when I was looking for one to dress this up.
Konstantin Kilimnik is not a name that I was expecting to see again, after the Mueller investigation became history.
I thought it was kind of comical, in a way that would only seem comical to a Mueller investigation enthusiast like me. Which begs the question, why would I paste it up here? "Cognitive dissonance." (A Swiss army knife kind of explanation for anything and everything I might have done.)
I've always hoped to see a report about a new Monopoly-style board game based on the Mueller investigation. "President Trump rejects your invitation for him to testify. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200."
So many possibilities.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 03-17-2021).]

My source calls it correctly! The chute wipe rag that ot busted reporting fake news doesn't get to determine the definition. They relinquish that when admitting they faked the claim. It's not a misspelling. It's not an incorrect date. It's fake news you broadcast. Thank you for confirming my statement about your honesty.
