Around here, when we tap our trees, we get tequila.
I've never tried Tequila on pancakes.

Actually, they do make syrup from cacti:
Tequila, as you probably know, comes from the agave.
Edit: It occurs to me that you might actually like Almendrado tequila on pancakes, if you can find it. Almedrado is a style, not a brand and is almond flavored, sweet and slightly smokey.

No problem. My wife brought some of that back when she visited her sister in Vermont some years ago. We ended up pouring it out. It tasted like tree sap and we were both afraid we would start saying 'ehh' all the time, acting like MeM or becoming curling fans (gawd forbid). . (she did keep the empty leaf shaped bottle tho)
