Most of the problems with police is the public failing the attitude test. People will question authority but not understand law so it will always escalate from that.

Almost all my interactions with them have been agreeable, but there are always the few who are begging to have the chit kicked out of them. The problem comes when the rest of the force allows the scumbags to remain. That's about the only time that "silence is violence" holds any meaning.

Agree. Good police are a blessing and a mainstay of our society. Bad ones are plague on it and need to GO. So hipocritical for law enforcement to implore the public to come forward when a 'regular' crime is comitted, while they keep that blue wall of silence when it's one of their own.
